Privacy Policy

Last updated: [04-07-2026]

This Privacy Statement explains how Bagpoint for Information Technology ("Bagpoint", "we", "us"), part of Ancilon Technology Group, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use bagpoint.com and our door to door baggage services. Bagpoint is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Because Bagpoint handles your luggage and checks you in with airlines, we process more personal data than a typical website, including travel and identity documents. This statement explains that clearly.

1. Who we are

Bagpoint for Information Technology (commercial registration 1010727906) is the travel technology brand of Ancilon Technology Group and a recognised Saudi technology provider (certificate 2023115810).

2. What personal data we collect

Data you give us

  • Contact and account details: name, email, phone number and booking details.

  • Flight and journey details: airline, flight number, dates, pick up and delivery addresses.

Travel and identity documents

  • Where a service requires airline check in or baggage handling, we collect the identity and travel document data needed to do this, such as passport or national ID details and boarding pass information. This is sensitive data and is handled with extra care.

Data we collect automatically

  • Technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Statement).

  • Baggage tracking data generated as your bags move through our custody, such as scans, status updates and location.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use your personal data to provide the service you book (check in, collection, secure handling, tracking and delivery), verify identity and meet airline and aviation security requirements, keep you informed with live status updates and support, comply with legal, customs and aviation obligations, and secure and improve our platform.

Our legal basis is mainly the performance of your service contract, compliance with legal and aviation obligations, and our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable service. For sensitive identity data, an additional basis applies.

4. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only where needed to deliver the service:

  • airlines and their departure control systems, for remote check in and bag tag printing;

  • airports, terminals and ground handling partners involved in your journey;

  • our screened drivers, logistics, hub and franchise partners, under strict handling rules;

  • customs, border, aviation security and other authorities where the law requires it;

  • service providers who support our platform, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Your data may be processed in more than one country, including transfers between the European Union and Saudi Arabia, and any destination on your journey. Where this happens, we put appropriate safeguards in place.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary to deliver the service, to meet legal, customs and aviation record keeping obligations, and to handle any claims, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Identity and travel document data is kept for the shortest period necessary.

7. How we protect your data

Security is central to our service. We use encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, tamper evident handling and audited processes, developed in coordination with civil aviation authorities, to protect both your bags and your data.

8. Your rights

Subject to the applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, though some data is needed to deliver a service you have booked. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

9. Children

Where a booking includes a child travelling with you, we process only the data needed for that journey. The website and account are intended for adults.

10. Changes to this statement

We may update this statement from time to time. The latest version is always the one published on this page, with the date shown above.
